シャツというのは、シンプルだ。ボタンを留めれば、それでいい。
あれこれ主張しない。襟があって、いくつかのボタン。あとはポケットがあるくらい。どれもよく似ている。
頼りになる。ニュートラル。
襟がピンと前を向いて、まるで行き先を知っているかのようでも、どこか気楽だ。
袖をまくるのもいいし、暑ければ開けたまま。風が気まぐれに吹いたときには、またボタンを留めればいい。
気を張らずにいられる。ちょっと整えて、あとはいつもの一日をつづけるだけ。
Shirts are simple. You button them up and you’re set.
They don’t try too hard. Just a collar, a few buttons, maybe a pocket. One shirt feels much like the next.
Reliable. Neutral.
Even with stiff collars that point ahead like they already know where you want to go, shirts are pretty easygoing.
You can roll up the sleeves, leave it open when it’s hot, button it back when the breeze gets ideas to brainstorm.
No fuss. Just adjust and go on with your day.
